Performance Module

  • There are two interactive components in MusAPP.

  • The MusAPP Course Module (CM) is the online component and requires an Internet connection. The CM is powered by Moodle and is designed to control the flow of a course by presenting content in an organized progressive sequence of lessons. It also facilitates social interaction between students and the teacher. Students can learn from each other in forums and blogs, and can collaborate on projects in WIKIs.

  • The MusAPP Performance Module (PM) is the desktop application component. The PM has a built in browser that allows it to interact with the Course Module (CM). When you open the PM, it will help you log into the CM. When you click an exercise link in the CM, it will open the exercise in the PM. The PM provides real time, audio and visual biofeedback of a live performance. It measures pitch and rhythm and displays performance accuracy as you sing or play into a microphone. The PM uses Voice, Instrumental, Midi Keyboard and QWERTY Keyboard input.
